Pastor John has served as pastor of DixonGBC since May 15, 2002. He has been in the ministry since January of 1991 and was ordained as a General Baptist Minister in September of 1997.

Having felt called to full time ministry during his senior year of high school, John pursued a degree in Religious Studies at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. While there, he met and fell in love with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and they married in 1994.  John and Heather have greatly enjoyed watching their two children grow into the wonderful young adults they are today, and have been greatly blessed with two wonderful grandchildren. 

Pastor John earned a Master of Divinity degree from Oakland City University of Oakland City, IN in 2004, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Oakland City University in 2023.

Pastor John has served three GB churches since 1996.
